NeuroQuest
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
NeuroQuest offers a unique gaming experience using single-input controls. The game is inspired by the complex biology of the brain to foster awareness of neurodegenerative diseases. It is not intended to be directly educational but uses neurological processes and brain biology as creative inspiration, inviting players to engage with and reflect on these critical health topics and the importance of neurological health through accessible and thoughtful gameplay.
The gameplay revolves around controlling a brain molecule tasked with the crucial mission of collecting neurotransmitters. Players must navigate through a dynamic brain environment, dodging obstacles and enemies representing amyloid plaques and tau tangles. The game offers a hands-on exploration of brain function themes, emphasising strategic movement and decision-making.
- Hold and release Spacebar to aim horizontally.
- Hold and release Spacebar to aim vertically.
- Movement will happen automatically on the second release.
- To escape obstacles, quickly tap the Spacebar repeatedly until you break free.
